LaLiga refers to the top professional football (soccer) division in Spain, officially known as LaLiga Santander. It is one of the most prestigious and competitive football leagues in the world, featuring 20 teams that compete annually for the championship title. Established in 1929, LaLiga operates under the governance of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (LFP). LaLiga’s format includes a regular season where each team plays every other team twice, once at home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. Additionally, the bottom-placed teams are relegated to the second division, known as LaLiga SmartBank.
